Go Detroit Red Wings

>> Saturday, May 30, 2009

Go Red Wings!!! The Detroit Red Wings start their final series against the Pittsburgh Penguins today at 8:00 pm. This is a rematch of the previous season's Stanley Cup finalists when the Red Wings defeated the Penguins in 6 games. This time I predict the series will go to at least 6 games again. The Red Wings are starting this series without two star players, Pavel Daksyuk and Kris Draper but I expect others players will pick up the slack as they did in the series against the Black Hawks but at least they will have captain Nicklas Lidstrom back in the lineup for game one today. Some game analysts are predicting that the defending champion Red Wings can't beat the Penguins this year, we will see, I think the Wings can win and will win in 6 or 7 games. Go Wings!!!

Update: 1 The Red Wings beat the Penguins 3-1 in game one. They play again some time Sunday.
Update: 2 The Red Wings beat the Penguins 3-1 in game two. They now lead the series 2-0 and the next game is in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Go Wings!!!
Update: 3 The Penguins beat the Red Wings 4-2. The Red Wings still lead the series 2-1 and will soon lead the series 3-1.
Update: 4 & 5 The Penguins beat the Red Wings in game four 4-2 but the Red Wings beat the Penguins in game five 5-0. The Red Wings now lead the series 3-2 and can win the Stanley Cup in Pittsburgh this Tuesday. Go Wings!!!
Update: 6 The Penguins beat the Red Wings 2-1 in Pittsburgh to tie the series 3-3. Game 7 is in Detroit Friday at 8:00 pm. The Red Wings are favored to win the cup. Go Wings!!!

Installing Carpet

>> Sunday, May 24, 2009

I haven't made a post in this blog in about 8 days because I've been a little busy. A few months ago I posted about how I bought some carpet that was used in the Detroit Auto Show. Well, I finally started installing it upstairs. I've only been doing a little bit at a time because I try to only work when my 15 month old son is sleeping, otherwise he cries and gives his mother a hard time until she has to bring him upstairs to watch me, which takes her away from her chores downstairs. Anyway, a few more days work and I'll be finished upstairs, then I can start installing carpet downstairs. My blog will suffer from lack of post, but at least I can continue making 300 EC drops every day.

The Republicans are on the attack again

>> Saturday, May 16, 2009

Here we go again. The Republicans are on the attack again. This time they are concentrating their attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, accusing her of lying about whether she was briefed by the CIA on waterboarding. Pelosi says she was misled. Who do you believe? I believe Pelosi because Bob Graham who was the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee at the time had a similar briefing as Pelosie's by the CIA three weeks later and said “I do not have any recollection that day of there being a discussion of something that would have been as neon as waterboarding or other torture techniques,” Mr. Graham said. Newt Gingrinch said "I have never heard such a disgusting lie by a political official in my all my lifetime" Oh really Newt? What about the lies Bush and Cheney told about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq so Bush could start his war with Iraq? When they couldn't find any weapons of mass destruction, they tried to link Al Qaeda with Saddam Hussein, but they couldn't find any possible links so they started torturing some of the detainees in desperation to try and make someone admit to being linked to Al Qaeda. Unfortunately for Bush and Cheney it didn't work. Now they try to justify the torture by saying it gave them valuable information in the fight against terror. Another lie. Nancy Pelosi will survive this latest political attack by the Republicans as she has in the past.
