Americans Have A New Enemy

>> Wednesday, February 25, 2009

Americans have a new enemy. This is a cold hearted enemy who will only help you if you have lots of money. This enemy wants to destroy the labor unions, the middle class and anyone else who goes against their beliefs. Who is this enemy you ask? It is none other than the Republican Party. The Republicans in the House and Senate have as much as admitted that they want to see Democrats fail in their attempt to save the American economy from going into a economic depression. They have announced proudly that they would rather see us go into an economic depression than use 800 billion tax payer dollars to stimulate the economy. They wanted the Detroit Automakers to fail also, but Bush didn't want to be known as the one who caused a great depression because he is already known as the worst president in history, so he authorized the loans for Automakers before he left office. The Republicans in our government know that if the Democrats succeed in rescuing this economy, that their days in power will be numbered. That is why they want the great depression to happen. They don't care about all the millions of Americans who would lose their jobs, their pensions and their homes. They don't care about the sky rocketing crime rate that would happen if we had a depression. All they care about is helping the rich and keeping the Republican Party in Power. In my mind the Republican Party  has become an enemy of all Americans. I only hope that the supporters of the Republican Party realize that the agenda of the GOP is anti American. Right now we need to stand behind the Democrats and help this great nation of ours recover from 8 years of Republican repression.

This is probably the most illogical, convoluted argument I have ever read.
The Republicans have been out of power for over 2 years, as the House (you know, the legislative branch of government, the ones who make the laws) has had a Democratic majority since 2006.
Considering that the majority of people are not rich, what possible logic is there to the Republicans catering to the rich? What party would expect to maintain power by favoring the smallest segment of voters?
All you are doing is spewing hackneyed half truths. You need to open your eyes.

To the last commenter. First of all this is not an argument. It is the absolute truth. What was the first thing Bush did when he got in office? He cut taxes for the rich. Second republicans may not have had power in the legislative branch, but they still had power with Bush as president as recently as 1 month ago. The possible reason for the Republicans catering to the rich is, the rich have control of the republicans, its that simple. And lastly, the only one who spews half truths and total lies is the Republicans.

lol, way too far from the truth. If you want the truth open your eyes and see what really is going on here. Did the $850 billion bail out helped the banks at all? You will be lying to your self if you say yes. I'm not from the left wing or the right wing. I am for the constitution and the enemy you are talking about are those people who does not recognize the constitution, and you are one of them.

Nedekcir, you are wrong, if they wouldn't have bailed out the banks, we would already be in a great depression. The Republicans rushed that bail out bill through without putting any restrictions on it, that is why it is not working as well as it should have. I'm for the constitution also because it was made by the people, FOR THE PEOPLE. Not by the rich, for the rich and if I am an enemy to anyone, its the rich Republican right wing conservative pigs that are trying to destroy the labor unions and the middle class.

Amen to that Bob, but most of that is old news.

Da Old Man February 26, 2009 at 3:38 PM

Hey Bob, what flavor is that Koolade you drank?
You do realize, the Republicans didn't do the first bailout, right?
It was passed by a Democratic Congress. Bush, as President, could not, did not, make laws. He was in the Executive Branch. The Legislative Branch, which is composed of the the House of Congress-- controlled by Democrats since 2006, are the ones who voted for, approved, and funded (with our money) the bailout.
And corrupt labor unions have helped make the US auto industry a mess, as each car costs thousands more to make than those made in the USA by Toyota and Honda.

Bob February 26, 2009 at 4:15 PM

Da Old Man, your a moron. That bill would not have passed if enough republicans didn't vote for it and also Bush had to sign it into law. Their are no currupt labor unions. The only reason the auto companies are in a mess is because of unfair trade practices that the Republicans refused to do anything about and because no one can get a loan or wants to get a loan because of the bad economy, which by the way is a direct result of Bush's policies the last 8 years.

Bob, you just can't argue with people who think the world is flat. Even when science stares them in the face and proves otherwise, they just won't believe it unless oxycodone addicted Rush (Limpballs) or pinhead O'Reilly tells them it's true.

Cause we are the ones that want to play
Always want to go
But you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to choose
Always want to play
But you never want to lose
Aerials, in the sky
When you lose small mind
You free your life

BTW, I like my Kool-Aid in orange flavor, thank you very much. The Tropical Punch is pretty damn good also!

You are so right, Bob. Republicans are out to destroy America. After eight years of Bush's Right-Wing policies, our economy nearly tanked. Now, all the Conservatives can do is to organize "tea parties" and spread Right-Wing media venom to try and destroy Obama's presidency. The rising stock market of the past few weeks shows that Obama's programs are already getting our country back on the right track. Thanks to Obama, America is now on the Road to Recovery, and the Republican Party is on the Road to Extinction.

Da Old Man sounds like he's a Koolade wholesaler. He's apparently drunk so much of it that his brain is gone. He can obviously use a brain transplant.
