No Page Rank Yet

>> Tuesday, March 24, 2009

I've been trying to get a Google page rank since I started this blog. So far no luck. I can't even get a 0 out of 10 PR. I've tried submitting my blog to Google and DMOZ and I know I need Google backlinks, but I don't know an easy way to get them. If anyone knows how I can get backlinks, feel free to leave a comment and tell me please.

you and me both! I have been blogging since aug of last year and I still dont have a pr. I dont know how it works and I hope someone would really post about it and explain it in the simplest of ways, no big words. More of like an explaining to a 5 year old,lol..

I'd like to know that too. You might be intrested in getting ranked in World Top Blogs. My blog is currently ranked number 3 in the world there, which gives me something to smile about :)

no clue either - but perhaps leaving leaving relevant comments on blogs that use "comment luv" - where it lists a link to your last blog post when you comment - that way you are building links while also networking with folks.

I might give you a reciprocal link in a blogroll.

Write me on email about details

i have been blogging for 7 months now and have learned a lot throughout my blogging journey. got my PR2 when my blog was 3 months old and got a PR3 when it reached its 5th month. how? i am not sure.

all i did was kept on exchanging links with people... blogroll i guess is really important.

but i will be telling about this in my other blog as many people have been asking me how to efficiently add their blogs on google and on how my PR got up on the scale in a matter of months.

honestly, i am scared that my google will go down back to zero... i just can feel it as many bloggers are experiencing PR downfalls.

anyway, i'll be back here to tell you if the post about google and PR is finished.

have a great day.. by the way, thanks for following my blog.. following you, too!

You need to get listed in sites that have higher PRs. I added you to filipinolinks.com which has a pr of 6 (under Flip Blogs/Friends of the Filipino people). Also, if you can comment here: http://www.uncommonphotographers.net/?p=1619 and leave your url in the comment. I have removed the no follow rule in this site, so if you leave your url, google bots, once they smell your url in the site, will hopefully crawl you too.

Also, I don't know how true this is, but I believe that it will help if you have a top level domain of your own (ie bobgold.com), and not a blogspot.com domain.

I have been blogging for more than a year and so far i got pr 3 in my 6 blogs but when I join the paid post stuff my pr went down until it become zero. But when I started blogging i learned that through exchanging links, sponsoring a contest, host a contest, and comment to other blogs help the pr thing. Also if you want to have pr you should exchange links those people that have big pr hehehe that what they said. You can also exchange links to bloggers do not have pr that will build something.

mmm... I also do not think my blog will get a PR 3, maybe you need to submit to google webmaster.

Hi Bob, you have to have catchy subject titles that Google can index your blog. In other words your titles, or subject titles should be unique, and something that people search for on search engines. Key Words, like names of people or things you're writing about. Then ping your post URL to ping Google on search engines...It takes time and practice....

The Marc Chamot Report April 4, 2009 at 4:15 PM

Also to check if Google indexes your postings, copy and paste your subject title, on google search and you should see your stuff there...

Also take your blog title bobgold08.blogspot. copy it on Google search, this will show you who's linking to you....

I searched 'No 1 Blog in the World' on Google and found my blog was listed second. Only Technorati was ahead of me, which is not bad as I have only had it up and running for just over a month. I link and network a lot.

Ian, that's hard to believe when your Google rank is only 2. If it was number 2 in the world, wouldn't your blog be ranked 10? Maybe you were referring to a particular post of yours. Please explain this for me, because I'm a little ignorant when it comes to Google rank and finding the number 1 blog in the world.

Write about obscure stuff so you will not be working against the million other people who post on Obama or France or whatever.
