No PageRank information available

>> Sunday, April 26, 2009

I wrote a post about page rank before but I'm starting to get a little impatient waiting for Google to rank my site. I still have no page rank information available. Why can't Google rank my site and give me at least a 0 rank? I noticed my wife's blog which was ranked 3 by Google yesterday, has no page rank information available. Why would her site suddenly have no page rank information available when just yesterday it had a page rank 3? I think if Google wants to keep it's credibility, they better do a better job in crawling sites that are verified sites. Google has already lost credibility with me. Please don't give me any more advice on how to increase my rank with Google, I need advice on how to get ranked by Google period.

This page ranking thing is a mystery to me too. Mine was at a 3 and then all of a sudden I noticed it was N/A. Now it's back again so I'm glad about that.

I wish I understood it. I've had one page for ever with an ongoing regular reader base and it's been a 2 for ever, nothing seems to make it go any higher. 2 other blogs were unrated for awhile, partially due to newness I quess. Finally one of them is rated a wee 1 and the other a 2. Will be interesting to see if anything changes.

Good luck
Sandy

My Pr went from 3 to ?/10 with no info available when I try to check it! I understand your frustration! Hopefully we will both be back to 3 before long!

I'm also getting worried about my PageRank. I used to have a PR1 with about a little more than 1 thousand views but then it went down to a 0 and it still hasn't changed.

I thought I understood PR..but now it's like the most puzzling mystery in the internet ever. My old URL was ranked from 2 to 3 then to 0, then I bought a new domain name last March hoping I could gain it all back on the next PR update. However , on April, my new URL got a 0 in March then on April 1, got a 3 in a span of 2 weeks. Then on April 10, my PR soared to 4...I was confused because I know updates happen in 3 months after. Mine was updated in just 9 days...but I was happy coz I got a 4. Then last April 16, Google dropped me to 0 and I was upset more than ever because all other sites I know were not updated as frequently as mine. Mine happened in April 1, April 10 and April 16. Now...I'm working too hard to gain back the 3 or 4 again . I don't believe in those tips and techniques anymore about how to get a good PR or increase your PR...because thehy not"ut-and-dried" rules that actually work--they're just "hypothesis" because Google just probably do it by whim and fancy.
So I'm just working hard without ever trying to understand how they work.

(Didn't you know that Rupert Murdock staged a hostile take-over of Google during the wild celebrations over Obama's victory? Since then, there have been covert attempts to frustrate the efforts of liberal bloggers. Please keep this quiet. For if the stuff hits the fan, it's going to stink real bad for us all.)

FishHawk-you referring to this report... http://www.forbes.com/2009/04/03/rupert-murdoch-google-business-media-murdoch.html. I know nothing about any covert attempts to frustrate liberal bloggers but they are frustrating me none the less.

Your welcome. Wow! your name FishHawk is really appropriate, cause you really do watch my site like a hawk. Only there is no fish here, sorry.

It's getting tougher and tougher to get ranked by google. You need to have so much stuff -- sitemap, meta tags, meta keywords, etc.

Look at the well ranked sites under the hood and see what they have done.
